PRIVACY
Your project information
Saved projects, property details, estimates, and versions are stored locally in this browser’s IndexedDB. Budget calculations run on this device. HomeCost does not upload your renovation line items, sync projects to the cloud, call AI services, or include analytics.
Optional property address lookup
When you press Enter or choose Find property, the Texas address you enter is sent to HomeCost’s lookup service and the public U.S. Census Geocoder. The geocoder identifies the county and an approximate location along the street. HomeCost queries public county appraisal records or county-contributed parcel records hosted by the Texas Geographic Information Office. Lookup requires the internet. It is separate from running a budget and does not use a paid property-data service.
Only the search address and the information needed to match its public parcel record are sent for lookup; budget line items and project notes are not included. HomeCost’s lookup code does not log addresses or retain lookup results on its server. Azure and the public agencies may process ordinary service and security logs under their own policies. Review the matching address and facts before applying them. Applied facts and their source date are saved locally with your project.
What the website host receives
When you open or update the app, its static hosting provider receives ordinary web requests, such as the requested file, time, and network information needed to deliver the site. Hosting providers may process standard request logs under their own terms. HomeCost does not put your project estimates into those requests.
Your choices and backups
You can use the app’s export feature to save a copy of your project. Exported files are controlled by you and may contain the information you entered; store and share them accordingly. Clearing site data in the browser can remove locally saved projects. Export a backup first if you want to keep them.
Local browser storage is not a substitute for a secure device account. Anyone with access to your unlocked browser profile may be able to access its saved projects. This page makes no claim that local data is encrypted by HomeCost.
Optional app-store distribution
If HomeCost is distributed through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft and the app’s hosting provider may process information according to their respective services and policies. The publisher identity and contact details required by the Store must be supplied by the publisher before submission; this prototype does not provide a support email or publisher identity.
This is product information for the current local-first prototype, not a substitute for the final publisher’s legally reviewed privacy notice.
Optional private shared projects
During the owner pilot, Microsoft sign-in connects approved access to one private project across the seven Real AI tools. You choose which project facts to share and review information before replacing local inputs. Calculations stay on your device. Saving locally and sharing a cloud copy are separate actions.
Sharing excludes photos, attachments, tenant identities and private contact notes. Project details include their source and date. Existing values are not silently overwritten. Only the signed-in owner can access the shared service. Disconnecting or clearing browser data does not erase cloud copies; contact Jim@abundancetrack.com for removal. The service retains up to 20 prior shared versions for review.
Local tools remain available when sharing is offline. Existing optional AI tools have their own preview, sign-in and usage limits. Connecting a project does not authorize AI calls or upload its attachments.
